Promote, support and empower as many women as possible by building strong relationships with women in EMS/other industries and the communities, knowing that together we can make a difference
Inspire and motivate members through various planned activities/events. Members will have an opportunity to interact with each other and guest speakers/life coaches. Topics may include family, business/work, knowledge, spirituality, relationships and health
Despite major advancements in becoming a significant part of the EMS workforce, paramedic women still face important career development challenges. Members of the group and the community will be offered mentorship programs designed to increase career development within the EMS industry
Promote awareness on various topics, activities and challenges affecting women more specifically those that are related/linked to the EMS industry. Provide psychological/emotional support to members either on personal or professional matters.
Women Paramedic Support Group
The Group offers all members a platform to connect with like-minded women from across the country to assist in the development of individual skills and competencies, and to share ones experience and knowledge.
All women paramedics in South Africa, regardless of race or social status are empowered to reach their full potential within the EMS Environment.
The mission of the Women Paramedic Support Group is to empower all paramedic women in all areas of their lives by providing advice, mentorship and support through developed programmes, social events, workshops, individual and/or group interactions.
Provide social benefits to all women paramedics and the community
Provide a greater productivity whilst at work
Improve general work ethics and/or experience for all women paramedics
Provide a resource for women paramedics in assisting one to enhance their careers/businesses
Offer networking opportunities in monthly/quarterly organised events
Empower women with tools to develop within the EMS setup
